The final phase of the Primark Click & Collect rollout saw the introduction of the service to all 21 of its Scottish outlets.
The service allows customers to order a range of products from various categories online and pick them up at their preferred store on a selected day.
Customers can expect their orders to be ready for collection two days post-placement, with a minimum order value of £10 ($13.51) and no additional delivery fees.
The Click & Collect service also offers the convenience of paying for extra in-store items at the dedicated collection desk, bypassing regular checkout lines.
The collection day can be scheduled up to seven days in advance after adding products to an online basket, the company stated.
The service not only provides flexibility in ordering but also grants access to a wider array of products, some of which are usually exclusive to larger Primark stores.
Shoppers at Primark’s smallest outlet in Hamilton, Scotland, can choose from over 5,000 products through Click & Collect, significantly expanding their options beyond the store’s physical inventory.
Primark UK retail director Kari Rodgers said: “We’re thrilled to have now completed this roll out ahead of the summer.”
The retailer initially tested Click & Collect with a selection of up to 2,000 items in 25 stores located in the North West of England, Yorkshire, and North Wales. The trial included baby and kids’ items, decorative nursery products, toys, and exclusive ranges.
Research by Public First revealed that Primark’s operations contribute £2.6bn to the UK economy and support 54,000 jobs nationwide.
The retailer is also said to be a key draw for people going to the high street with 2.3m citing Primark as their main reason for visiting the high street weekly so every £10 spent at Primark is said to generate an additional £3.60 for other high street businesses.
Primark adds: “This means Primark supports around £1bn of spending in other stores and £500m in restaurants each year.”
