The PGA Championship is the next golf major up, and all eyes will be on who wins at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
It’s no surprise that the top two favorites are Scottie Scheffler (+440) and Rory McIlroy (+450). Scheffler admittedly had a slow start to the year, and notched his first win of the season last weekend at the CJ Cup on the PGA Tour, and could ride his recent success to the top of the leaderboard in Charlotte. Scheffler will not be competing in the Truist Championship this weekend in order to rest and prepare for the PGA Championship.
McIlroy, on the other hand, is coming off of his first green jacket at the Masters, and finally completed his career grand slam. A win at Quail Hollow could be the next step in completing the modern grand slam in one calendar year.
Defending PGA Championship winner Xander Schauffele (+1800) is back, and Bryson DeChambeau (+1200), Ludvig Åberg (+1600) and Collin Morikawa (+1800) round out the rest of the top favorites.
The first round tees off on Thursday, May 15.
