NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups Feb. 26 – Jets Namestnikov Looks to Stay Hot

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Vladislav Namestnikov, C/LW, WPG @ OTT (15% rostered)
Namestnikov saw his five-game point streak end Sunday, during that span he notched a goal and six assists. Saturday, Namestnikov signed a two-year, $6 million contract extension to remain the Jets. He has proven to be a solid middle-six forward, lining up at center and wing for Winnipeg. Namestnikov has racked up 30 points, 68 shots on net, 60 hits, 35 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a plus-19 rating over 54 appearances.

Ondrej Palat, LW, NJ @ COL (1% rostered)
After going scoreless for six straight contests, Palat has picked up his play. He has posted three goals and one assist along with 16 hits during his past seven games. Palat, who has struggled the past few seasons, is skating on the Devils’ first line, benefitting from playing with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt. If he remains in this spot, look for his uptick in production to continue.

Jusso Parsinnen, LW, COL vs. NJ (0% rostered)
This is one due to the limited number of games on the roster. Parsinnen didn’t see much ice time prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off break, but returned post-vacation to skate on the Av’s second line. He notched an assist against his former team, the Predators, on Saturday and is worth a flier if he remains in that line placement again Wednesday.

Warren Foegele, LW/RW, LA vs. VAN (8% rostered)
Foegele tallied a goal and an assist Monday, giving him three goals and six points in February. After posting a career-high 41 points last season, his final campaign in Edmonton, Foegele signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Kings last July. His current hot stretch has the second line left winger up to 15 goals and as many assists in 55 contests.
