Having not just lost the reverse fixture but suffered a 3-0 rout, a response was essential from the Nerazzurri.

And that’s exactly what they produced. Inter put in a thoroughly convincing display to win the reverse fixture at the San Siro.

A Marin Pongracic own goal opened the scoring for Inter. Then, Roland Mandragora equalized from the penalty spot shortly before halftime.

But in the second half, substitute Marko Arnautovic scored the winner for Inter. It was the Austrian’s first goal in Serie A this season.
