Yankees re-signing left-handed reliever Tim Hill

The Yankees are re-signing left-handed reliever Tim Hill, per multiple reports.

The deal is for one year and $2.85 million. There is a $3 million team option for the 2026 season that contains a $350,000 buyout.

Hill, who turns 35 years old later this month, had a 2.05 ERA (3.62 FIP) and 1.02 WHIP in 44.0 innings over 35 appearances for the Yanks last season.

He has been especially effective against left-handers during his career, holding them to a .614 OPS.

During his seven-year career, which has also included stints with the White Sox, Padres, and Royals, Hill has a 3.99 ERA (4.11 FIP) and 1.33 WHIP in 322.1 innings.

Hill rejoins a bullpen that features Devin Williams and Luke Weaver at the top, and should also include Jonathan Loaisiga and Mark Leiter Jr.
