Seattle, WA – After one period of play, Calgary held a 3-0 lead over the Kraken. Jaden Schwartz’s opening goal was disallowed on a goaltender interference challenge, which resulted in the Flames’ Morgan Frost breaking the ice. Four penalties were called on Seattle, leading to a pair of power-play goals from Yegor Sharangovich and Jonathan Huberdeau.
Seattle bounced back, cutting Calgary’s lead by one with a pair of goals from Kaapo Kakko in the second period and Brandon Tanev in the third.

The Kraken rallied to even things up, pulling Daccord for the extra attacker, but it was too little, too late. Jared McCann snuck one past Flames netminder Dan Vladar just as the final buzzer sounded.
Tonight’s loss places the Kraken 10 points behind Calgary in their final push for a wild card spot in the Western Conference.
The game wasn’t without highlights, as head equipment manager Jeff Camelio celebrated his 2,000th career game, and Jaden Schwartz earned his 300th assist.
