Juventus and Inter Milan faced off in the Derby d’Italia on Sunday evening.
It was the Bianconeri who prevailed, winning the match by a 1-0 scoreline.
In the first half, Inter Milan had more and better chances. However, they were unable to convert any of them.
Then, in the second half, Inter paid for that wasteful finishing. A re-energized Bianconeri made the Nerazzurri look complacent and sluggish.
And it was Francisco Conceicao who ended up scoring the winner for Juventus.
The respective average ages of the two teams could certainly have had something to do with that.
Inter started the match with veterans like Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Francesco Acerbi on the pitch. Juventus, meanwhile, had a very young team which goalscorer Conceicao embodied.
