According to reports, Napoli have reached a full agreement with Al Ahli to sign Allan Saint-Maximin on a dry loan, interrupting his Fenerbahce experience.
Coach Antonio Conte complained again today that there had not been a replacement found for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Several different targets were approached and given up on, including Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi.
Saint-Maximin short-term Napoli solution
Now transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano claims that the paperwork is being exchanged with Al Ahli for a dry loan, meaning there is no option to buy at the end of the season.
Napoli are set to pay €3-4m for the five-month loan agreement, but first he must terminate his current loan deal with Turkish club Fenerbahce.
He turns 28 next month and had experiences at amongst others AS Monaco, OGC Nice and Newcastle United before the €27.2m move to Al Ahli in the summer of 2023.
