‘Paint the town Orange’: Orioles to return all-orange look this season

The Baltimore Orioles will bring back their all-orange uniforms on April 12, the club announced on Monday.

Baltimore is set to wear the look at home against the Toronto Blue Jays and at select home games throughout the season, according to a news release.

The orange-on-orange combination first debuted in 1971 and was worn during the 1971 and 1972 seasons. The Orioles didn’t wear the all-orange uniforms again until a throwback game in August 2010 and haven’t rocked them since.

Baltimore didn’t reveal the other dates when the orange uniforms, which were inspired by former Oriole and Baseball Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, will appear.

Baltimore has worn orange jerseys in the past as an alternate look.

The Orioles begin the season on the road against the Blue Jays on March 27.
